Final Drink
Forgot how intense animation can be. Still got a lot to go with this but I think I've learned quite a bit from this little project. Was going to tie down the shapes, maybe rack focus so it's not so busy, do something with tilting the camera, experiment more with gimmicks, and other little things that really makes an animation come to life. I got some boardin' to do though :D
Might revisit it.

Drinking Dialogues
First time doing a dialogue piece here and it's pretty fun so far especially thinking about the possibilities of how the lips can move and brows furrow.
The second is a bit more work on the drinking. Not much done on it really, but since it's already been "turned in" I'm really thinking about pushing it and maybe even taking it to that John K land of elasticity with maybe a bit of that rubber hose aesthetic that's all the rage nowadays.

Tempfinish Drink
Almost done with this one. Acting choices pretty much settled, just a matter of pinning down breakdowns, cleaning up the inbetweens, check out the spacing a bit more, put in some arcs, fix poses here and there, settle some timing issues, play around with some fire cycle animation, maybe add in that shaky cam to relay some sort of unsettling story point- okay, lots to go, but it's goin' D:
Oh! and... just finished animation junior review at cca. Kinda a bit disappointed, I guess it's mostly because I hyped it up a lot for myself and I probably would have gotten more out of it if I had prepared some questions, I did get a really solid piece of advice that I will be posting soon. Hint: Seven Samurai:Bug's Life::Blade Runner:____

Surly Templand
Got some pretty sweet notes on this from Gibby. Mostly stuff concerning the texture of the animation which still needs tweaking, added in a ship background that's going to try to synch with drinking part along with a shaky cam type thing, blurred bg, might mess with rack focus. Still needs work.

Shots
Got some notes that it should be a little more dramatic, changed up the action and timed it a bit with the music. Gave some sort of character design since the original was just uber generic. Wanted him to seem a bit tired, maybe even a bit jaded with life. The disheveled hair and bags under the eyes I think kind of works on that.
Didn't concentrate too much on the arms, but tried to put more focus on the root. I think we're entering templand on this one.

Drinking
Don't usually post works in progress for animation, but thought I should start archiving some of them (at least the main blocking and temp passes) before they get lost in the dark depths of my external hard drive.
For these, we're matching up animation with music from "Peter and the Wolf". So, sound warning; it's pretty loud.
