...And beyond.

So, I'm not going get the chance to see the white's of McCampbell's eyes- but all hope is not lost.

I will officially be attending California College of the Arts, Fall 2010 for Animation. The program is pretty darn small, it's new and it hasn't been tried or tested as schools like Sheridan, Calarts or Ringling. But the profs are awesome (spline doctors!), it's in San Francisco, and there's a flexibility in actual concentration that can be good but could also be bad.

For anyone who is curious or anyone wanting to know where the money is at (ha) my awards and acceptances were:

Otis College of Art and Design: Accepted with a $10,000 a year merit scholarship.
Savannah College of Art and Design: Accepted with a $8,000 a year academic scholarship, merit (portfolio) scholarship still pending review.
Ringling College of Art and Design: Accepted with a $10,000 a year merit scholarship from Dreamworks, $2,000 additional merit from the school.
Memphis College of Art and Design: Accepted with a $10,000 a year merit scholarship.
Minnesota College of Art and Design: Accepted with a $15,000 a year merit scholarship.
School of Visual Arts: Accepted, financial aid still pending review.
School of the Museum of Fine Arts/Tufts: Accepted, financial aid still pending review.
California College of the Arts: Accepted with $10,000 Top Faculty Honors Scholarship, $17,000 Diversity Scholarship, and a $7,500 additional merit scholarship.
School of the Art Institute of Chicago: Accepted, financial aid still pending review.

I got pretty darn lucky with all these awards, and I can only hope to get up to half of the skill level I see coming out the Calarts to justify such honor. I am insanely thankful for all the awards though, and the one from CCA just blew me away. Without it, I don't really know where I would have gone next.

Now is now though, and all this means nothing without the work to back it up, so...couple of paintings:
