Clay: 2nd sculpture

I had done a sculpture based on the French Fry Guy (paintings below), but destroyed it after I tried to add armiture...and the fact I wanted to work on something else and had no money for more clay =D Anyway, this dude just came out of my head. For some reason, I like making things with big grins (I call it the joker complex).

As for the lighting, not trying to be pretentious or nothing, but my digicam (SD1100 IS) does not like taking pics in macro and not have the flash on. So, I had to go in and light things up with a flashlight. This guy is not done yet, I just play around with him when taking a break from some pretty intense painting/drawing time.

I find I kind of like modeling more than drawing...kinda. Animation much?

Tools: X-acto Knife, Switch Blade, Cotton Swabs, Tooth Pick, Pencil, and Flat Head Screwdriver - I need a job. Although...I will say a Flat Head Screwdriver is one hell of a sculpting tool o.0

Prison Getaway.

Well...if there's one thing I've learned so far about myself...I don't want to do Graphic Design =) It's pretty cool and fun. Typography is interesting as hell and getting color and composition just right to send a message is something sick. But...dunno, there's something missing, I guess it's the whole static aspect of it. Guess it's a reason why I like animation and film.

Assignment: Create a poster for a vacation destination. I chose prison.

Three Strip Paint!

Working on some pieces for a gallery opening my art teacher is hosting. The theme is "Graphic Novels". An odd theme, no? Well...anyway, the story is very general:

Guy goes to save damsel in distress, Guy has to fight a dragon/dinosaur, Guy enters castle, Guy gets a kiss from said girl =)

Even if it doesn't get in, since here in Miami people like the abstract/modern/contemporary art, I had a great time drawing the dinosaur/dragon; never drawn one before :D

Of course, not done, just put the pencil in (even though I usually like putting a carbon copy on top instead of effectively destroying the canvas with the pencil tip). Just need to make the outlines, add in the colors, and come in with more black to give it that comic book look, *cough* I mean "graphic novel" =D.

Reminds me of Dragon from Shrek...kinda.

Fortress! Got some inspiration from the Sleeping Beauty Castle o.0 *shh*

Hahah, you shoulda seen the legs when first put
in....looooong (if you look closely you can see them!)

Illustrator + Photoshop

Hi! Haven't updated this in quite a bit. Why? dunno really, time just seems to slip away-hmm...

Well...I have put that über huge animation I was working on, on hiatus, mainly due to my own sanity. Not because of the cutting those sheets by hand but because it (the content) was getting to my head, really.

So instead I'm trying to focus on more "lighter" stuff...everyone always tells me my work is "dark". So, here are some assignments I had to do on illustrator and photoshop:

Basic Shapes - Copied

Basic Shapes - Personalized

Basic Wanted Poster

Kinda liking Illustrator, so freaking sweet since tablet isn't needed, so until I get my hands on an intous, illustrator will be program of choice...maybe- traditional media pwns.
